Prison Welfare Information
HMP helping out prisoners and providing safe and secure environments for prisoners. Working closely with MetPD. This is a team tasked with ensuring that prisoners can feel safe and happy in our custody, safely and professionally we will share this responsibility with anyone else within HMP.
Rules
Roleplaying to an high standard.
This means strictly staying in character at all times, this is an exception to admin situations.
Using communication FIRST and force as a LAST resort.
Meaning communication is key as PWR, always try to use communication to your advantage and force can only be used when it is the last resort ( someone's life is in danger, or yours)
Be respectful, empathetic and understanding to all prisoners
If the inmate is expressing their feelings we expect you to be understanding and empathetic to them, relating to them and saying phrases such as, "It's not your fault.", "It's completely normal to feel like this."
You’re expected to have somewhat knowledge of medical terminology and positive and caring attitude
Prison Welfare and Rehabilitation Ranking Structure
Welfare Officer
This is the first rank within PWR which allows you to work with probation officers and assist them with prisoner behaviour at HMP. With this rank, you get to wear different clothing from others.
Probation Officer
This is the second rank within PWR which is for those who have shown dedication and roleplay. Stepping in and acting as welfare officer if none are clocked off, as well as releasing prisoners on parole and staying updated on their progress by checking up on them out of HMP. With this rank, you get to wear different clothing from others.
Rehabilitation Counsellor
This is the final rank within PWR which is for those who have experience within roleplay and can effectively have conversations with prisoners. With this rank, you get to run regular classes and activities for prisoners, these include and not limited to anger management, conflict situations, group therapy etc. Once you reach this rank. You will also have different clothes to set you and other PWR units apart.
PWR Command Structure
Head of Prison Welfare and Rehabilitation
Barry [PWR-1]
First in command within Prison Welfare and Rehabilitation. They ensure the division runs smoothly and professionally. Their duties include adressing internal issues, handling reports, and maintaining discipline. As well as organizing training sessions, monitor how members part of PWR performance, and ensuring all procedures are followed.
Deputy Head of Prison Welfare and Rehabilitation
P. Nibbles [PWR-2]
Second in command within Prison Welfare and Rehabilitation. They also deal with internal issues within PWR and assist the Head of PWR.
